About

Noah Powers (they/he) is a queer poet and essayist from the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Currently, he is a creative writing
MFA candidate at the University of Alabama, and lives in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Prior to enrolling at UA, he was a high school English teacher for three years in his home state.
Their work harnesses the surreal and absurd to reckon with
queer identity as a Southerner and as a means of understanding
the world at-large.
